Project : Hybrid performance combining voice, electronic music, video.
Duration : Approximately 45 minutes
Concept, Music, Video, Voice….: Clémence Martel & Will KIM
Synopsis:
Mimetica Symbiotica is an artistic project that aims to restore a sense of closeness between the audience and its ecosystem by exploring the striking similarities between human and animal sounds, both in their content and in their modes of production.
While this project initially stemmed from our shared passion for entomology, it also arises from the observation that much of contemporary society suffers from a loss of knowledge about nature, wildlife, and, more specifically, the communication methods used by both human and animal species.

Project: Children’s Tale (Ages 5-10)
Hybrid performance combining voice, music, video, and electronic devices.
Duration: Approximately 40 minutes Concept, Music, Text, Video, Voice….: Clémence Martel
Synopsis:
The year is 2100. Colors have been banned from cities, and machines are everywhere.
A little girl named Mim is bored and questions the world around her. One day, she finds an old VHS tape and discovers all the colorful animals that have been driven out of the cities and nature, especially aquatic creatures. Determined to find them, she secretly builds a machine to set off on a journey.
After many days of work, she is finally ready to leave. Along her adventure, she meets and befriends magnificent creatures—vibrant and whimsical beings such as jellyfish and nudibranchs. Through them, Mim learns to sing, play with sounds, and, of course, embrace colors.
Filled with these new experiences, she returns home and asks her parents, “Mom, Dad, let me make my machines sing.” She then transforms the world, making it more beautiful.
“Mim” is built on an experimental approach: specially designed “musical instruments” created for the piece, DIY as a tool for autonomy and empowerment, and the ability to influence the world around us.
Drawing inspiration from the musical tale, the composition blends contemporary music adapted for young listeners (memorable melodies, even for the youngest audience), vocal explorations (singing, speech, and noise-based sounds), and electroacoustic music. Positioned between Émilie Jolie and experimental electronics, this work offers an immersive and sensitive experience.
